Asset & Capital Services and Transactions Services as a part of Wholesale Banking Operations is responsible for settlement and safekeeping of securities. Department covers a wide range of Capital Markets, Money Markets, Forex products which includes but is not limited to bonds; equities, commercial papers, certificates of deposit, repos, derivatives, cash transactions as well as securities finance.In Nordea we are working according to Lean and Kaizen methodology. We strive to continuously improve the processes we are responsible for and provide high level of service. Our daily work is related with close cooperation with stakeholders in Nordic countries. 

The position we offer
As a Service Operations Officer your responsibilities include following: 
  • Update daily customer, product and market data 
  • Reconcile daily positions/transactions, investigate incorrect prices and other potential issues 
  • Generate monthly reports for our customers  
  • Verify monthly the quality of the reports and flag issues proactively to Markets 
  • Create on-request new customer/product/ad-hoc report in the tool 
  • Instrument static data   
  • Harmonize existing tasks and review potential for improvements

The qualifications you need
  • Bachelor in Business (finance or accounting) 
  • Experience in producing and reconciling customer’s reports for the Financial industry 
  • Financial products knowledge (in particular Equity, Structured Products, Investment Funds, Fixed Income) 
  • Advanced knowledge of English language, both oral and written  
  • Basic accounting knowledge 
  • Basic IT skills (Excel, PDF, Windows) 
  • Experience coordinating with stakeholders located in multiple countries  
  • Analytical and strong problem-solving and organizational skills   
  • Attention to detail, and clear and concise communication skills   
  • Pro-active approach to ensure that risk issues (both current and emerging) are escalated promptly to managers 
  • Capability to work under time pressure and prioritize tasks   
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player 
Optional skills 
  • Experience with Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) calculation methodology 
  • Experience with Bloomberg 
  • Experience with BARRA
