A broad variety of tasks and responsibilities await you:
Prepare the monthly financial consolidation process and support group’s entities during the closing
Prepare and run the group’s financial consolidated financial statements, such as profit and loss statement, balance sheet and covenant report
Run the group’s intercompany reconciliation process and support entities in resolving the differences
Support to projects in relation with the further development and maintenance of our consolidation tool and Management Information System (Business Objects Financial Consolidation, ex Cartesis Magnitude, part of SAP)
Tasks/projects in relation to new reporting requirements
Support the budgeting and forecasting process of the Group
Maintenance of the Group’s Accounting Manual (IFRS)
Daily communication with the Group Accounting & Reporting as well as Group’s subsidiaries operating around the world
Various ad-hoc involvements, respectively project responsibilities including group-wide coordination tasks will round up this very interesting and challenging position.
The ideal candidate holds a university degree in economics, finance or business administration or similar educational background and has worked for 1-3 years in a Group or Business Unit controller function including experience in consolidation and international accounting standards (IFRS).
Important qualities are very high IT affinity (namely related to consolidation tools), advances or professional skills in MS Excel (including working with Macros), very good analytical, conceptual and connective cogitation and a hands-on and detail-conscious work style. Strong communication skills paired with a good level of customer focus ensure the capability of working amicably with people of various nationalities and to optimally serve our internal customer base, which typically consists of managers on all levels of hierarchy. Other important characteristics are the ability to work reliably and independently also under deadline pressure. Fluency in English (spoken and written) is indispensable and additional languages like German (preferably mother tongue), French or other languages would be an advantage.
