About this opportunity

As a junior professional willing to work in Valuation Risk, you’ll ensure that the valuation of Nordea’s assets are correct and in line with the market. You will be given a unique opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge on the valuation of financial instruments and derivatives within the Nordic region.

In our department, we are responsible for the management of the valuations and adjustments of Nordea’s financial instruments.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Process work: Participate in working groups to streamline and improve processes.
  • Cross-team collaboration: Follow-up on controls through extensive interaction with internal stakeholders (Trading, IT, Risk organization, P&L, etc.).
  • Continuous improvement: Participate in the continuous development of controls by proposing new ideas or increasing efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Interact with Front Office, regulators and other stakeholder.

Your background:

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Mathematics (or similar).
  • You have an interest in Private Equity or Corporate Finance.
  • You have a good understanding of Equity Valuation techniques and models.
  • You have excellent communication skills and speak and write in English at a professional level.
  • Knowledge of the IFRS accounting principles and the prudent valuation regulation is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL – Python is a plus.
