Opis stanowiska

The person in this position will be responsible for VAT returns, EC Listing, Intrastat reports, and local tax reports. He/She needs to understand the assigned countries' VAT and local tax requirements in order to maintain compliance with regulations and ensure the VAT and local VAT filings are accurate and complete. The person in this position will be responsible for tax coding and quality check of documents, reconciliation of the VAT accounts, making the respective VAT journal entries to clear VAT accounts, processing of payments to local Authorities and monitoring of the refunds, and archiving of documents. He/She will support VAT audits performed by local tax authorities. The person in this position will be in charge of communication with internal customers: business units, tax leaders, and other sub-contracted support functions to resolve discrepancies, issues, and queries not only for VAT but also for accounting and compliance-related matters. He/She will be a part of the process of VAT standardization, automation, and process improvements to ensure VAT compliance, support development and recommendation of VAT operational processes and internal policies

Key responsibilities:

VAT declaration preparation
Tax coding for the invoices
Intrastate reporting (for EU country)
VAT accounts reconciliation and clearing
Processing of VAT payments to local Authorities and monitoring the VAT refunds
Audit activities
Providing coaching and guidance to business units and other sub-departments on Indirect Tax related subjects
Contact vendors, Tax Authorities, and external consultants to resolve discrepancies, issues, and queries for VAT-related matters

Wymagania

At least a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or Taxes;
Fluent in English with strong speaking and writing skills;
German/ Italian language will be an asset;
More than 3 years of experience in accounting
Experience in international tax accounting will be an asset;
Ability to work under pressure in an international and diverse environment;
Strong MS Office package knowledge, especially Excel (formulas and data analysis);
SAP knowledge will be an asset;
Good knowledge of corporate and international taxation concepts and familiarity with European tax laws and regulations;
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
Solution-oriented/independent;
Critical thinking and problem-solving Initiative and persistence to pursue problems to resolution;
Very good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
