Opis stanowiska

At the Corporate Technology Center in Kraków we create innovative solutions, implemented in ABB products and systems. It is a unique opportunity for you to join interdisciplinary scientific teams and international projects where expertise, curiosity and innovation are valued.

As a Simulation and HIL Engineer Intern, you will have direct impact on the quality of System Drives software products being a part of an international software development team.

Your responsibilities

  • Power system simulations performance: load flow, dynamic transient, RMS simulations (Matlab/Simulink, PowerFactory)
  • LV/MV distribution grid models preparation including battery energy storage systems and renewable energy sources (Matlab/Simulink, PowerFactory)
  • Models development dedicated for real time simulation on OPAL-RT HIL devices
  • HIL testing stand development
  • Development of automated tests in Matlab/Simulink
  • Python scripts for tests and processes automation preparation
  • Working in a cross-disciplined team, using agile development methodologies that requires active participation in all team’s activities

Wymagania

  • Student of 3rd or 4th year (Automatics, IT, Electrical Engineering or another other fields)
  • Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink
  • Programming skills: Matlab, Python
  • Practical skills for HIL testing stand building and prototypes assembling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good written and spoken English
  • Minimum availability 20h/week
  • Any of the following will be a big plus: basic knowledge of Power Electronics and Power Systems, knowledge of DIgSILENT PowerFactory or any other power system related simulation environment, knowledge about version control systems e.g GIT
