What is the Treasury Accounting – Global Cash Services team responsible for?

The primary purpose of the TACC GCS department is to control money movement activity into and out of the company. GCS executes money movement for shareholder activity in treasury bank accounts, processing all incoming and outgoing money wires, as well as outgoing manual checks. This position is responsible for supporting permanent staff in daily treasury operations (both for incoming and outgoing cash) and ensuring that all assigned requests are fulfilled timely, accurately and according to internal procedures.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of an Intern?

  • Performs cash identification and settlement for shareholder direct purchase and wire order purchase transactions using corporate Global Payment Solutions system;
  • Processes money transfers for liquidations, dividends, commissions involving file transfers via electronic banking interfaces and using Transfer Agent registration system (RIVA) and prepares manual payment transfer instructions;
  • Verifies daily payment activity for potential third party payments in adherence to the company’s anti-money laundering procedures.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, including end of day validation;
  • Organizes and maintains archive records and electronic data;
  • Meets deadlines under pressure and escalates items to the respective parties for further clarification and action, interacts with both Luxembourg and Chennai counterparts and global Transfer Agency offices, maintaining professional and effective communication style.
