The Common Procurement & Logistics (P&L) Domain is hosted in Motion supporting Divisions in all of ABB’s four Business Areas. The IS Domain managed global common applications based on various technologies integrated into the value chain architectures of the Divisions.

Working close with business and IS stakeholders across ABB’s Divisions the IS lead architect is responsible support businesses and IS platform and application teams in defining the target architecture and maintaining the architecture roadmap for the P&L Domain.

A wide experience across IS technologies, business process knowledge of supply chain management and solid IS solutions competence-based use of SAP ERP and Procurement & Logistics IS applications are key success factors in this position.

In this role you will work on challenging operational and strategic topics across both legacy applications and the strategic IS platforms architecture. You will serve as a key contributor in helping businesses shape and execute on their digitalization journey.

***The location of this role is open to major ABB Motion locations in European countries & India.***

Willingness to travel is required (<30%).

Your responsibilities

• Shape the technology landscape (IS platforms, applications and integrations) to fit current & future business needs and guide solution architects in projects to ensure fit to processes and data requirements.
• Engage with business stakeholders and process owners to evaluate objectives and build strategies and roadmaps to enable business capabilities and ensuring requirements are properly documented
• Support IS platform/application teams to verify how requirements can be covered by standard IS solution functionalities, and as required how enhancements can be supported within given architecture guidelines
• Design and develop the IS technology & solutions architecture of P&L applications in collaboration with Business Area’s P&L process owners, IS architects and other related teams
• Work with business stakeholders and IS teams in Domain to assure realization of benefits from technology simplification, standardization and modernization
• Contribute to developing policies, standards and guidelines for IS architecture and own the implementation of these including the continuous improvement within the Domain
• Manage and ensure that the documentation of technical architectures & roadmaps are up to date within the Domain
• Keep knowledge up to date regarding new and emerging IS technology and IS industry practices, bringing learning into ABB within P&L Domain

Your background

• In-depth knowledge in P&L business process and best practice
• Strong knowledge of S/4 HANA and/or SAP ECC is required
• Solution competence in SAP Ariba/Spend management and Transport Management solutions
• Experience in other market leading SW products is considered as a plus
• Experience with complex project solution architecture design is desired
• Hands-on experience as SAP Solution Architect/Functional design lead
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, Business Management or similar
• Fluency in English is essential (written and spoken)
• Working knowledge of cloud integration and ERP basis and security setting is considered as a plus
