This is a global position within IT BTS Legal, Regulatory Affairs and Corporate Sustainability, Global IT function. The IT Business Analyst - Scientific & Regulatory Affairs is in charge of global BioInformatics systems supporting the SRA department of the company. You will be primarily accountable for new implementations and new projects/change requests in the coming years. In addition, you will be involved in level 3 support activities. As an IT Business Analyst - Scientific & Regulatory Affairs, you will be in charge of the digital roadmap execution with your business stakeholders, including budgetary and people resource aspects.

In the short run, you will be in charge of a major initiative for JTI: the In-silico Toxicology project, leveraging leading BioInformatics Technologies.

What will you do?

• Have the overall accountability and ownership for the digital solution functional scope - serve as Level 3 application support requests escalated from the previous support level (GSD) of Data Privacy systems with a focus on critical/complex incidents & significant change/service request
• Develop relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities and  deliver timely and quality solutions to users while at the same time ensuring they utilize the full potential of the application
• Manage the IT budget related to projects and support within the scope
• Manage external IT resources
• Assist the function in redesigning or adapting business processes to a change request
• Design specification, testing, and implementing business process changes
• Maintain up-to-date appropriate documentation in your scope of responsibility this includes BPMLs, Process flows, Enterprise structure, and BTS operational procedures
• Take a permanent effort in keeping the End Users up-to-date and knowledgeable of the systems and business processes / best practices
• Provide knowledge transfer and best practices (global processes) to end-users through support/change request resolution
• Scout for technology innovations supporting function, primarily with JTI’s IT strategic partners

• University degree in Information Technologies (Computer Science, Software Engineering and Automation, Cybernetics, or Applied Mathematics) or Strong Practical and Theoretical IT Background 
• English – Fluent (written & spoken)
• 5+ years of experience with corporate-scale systems
• Expertise with Bioinformatics & Science and Regulatory Affairs systems: Chemaxon, Creme, Chemotargets, Agilent, KEGG, etc
• Broad knowledge of project management methodologies in relation to custom software development, and packaged software implementation; PM experience in projects of such kind
• Capacity to listen to customers, understand their needs, and turn them into concrete solutions
• The ability to work effectively in a diversified team under pressure situations
