The Client Strategy Capital Market Insights Group (CS - CMIG) at Franklin Templeton is a global group of capital market research consultants and analysts seeking to understand our clients' needs for thought leadership, capital market analysis, and product storytelling. The Capital Market Insights Group covers a variety of research publications and communications distributed outside of Franklin Templeton.

The Market Analytics (MA) Group is a team of collocated, skill-centric analysts, intimately familiar with their respective domains and tools. The MA group is responsible for our scheduled update services, automation initiatives, research for Insight Consulting projects and interactive data visualization services.

Working with us, you will be responsible for:

• Research and analyze financial data extracted from leading financial applications to update/develop illustrative content for use in marketing materials
• Originate investment and financial content rooted in quantitative theory and rigor
• Research and analyze financial websites to obtain appropriate statistics
• Implement scalable solutions using ETL processes, appropriate database structures, data mining techniques and data visualization tools like Tableau
• Applications used include: Macrobond, Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct, FactSet, Thompson Reuters and financial/economic websites
• Implement technology solutions and automate marketing content materials.

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have educational background in finance/econometrics
• Have mix of financial knowledge and technical skills
• Have 1-3 of work experience in the Mutual Fund/Financial Services Industry/Research Environment
• Possess strong Excel skills
• Have prior experience with BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Alteryx) will be an asset
• Are familiar with R or other scientific computing language preferred
• Can work on multiple deadline oriented tasks
• Are paying strong attention to details and accuracy
• Possess solid problem solving skills
• Are eager to learn and self-develop
• Are comfortable working in a global environment
• Possess strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills – good command of English.
