About this opportunity

Welcome to the Securities Services team. We add value by collaborating and making sure that we always provide best in class. As the Service Operations Officer you’ll play a valuable role in cooperation with custodians, brokers, agents, middle and front office to provide the best service to our clients. Our main focuses are securities settlement (both equities and bonds trades) and corporate actions (events on Nordea's own holdings and lent/borrowed securities).

What you’ll be doing:

• Daily settlement of securities
• Investigating, amending and matching transactions that have not settled automatically
• Investigating and resolving discrepancies between Nordea and custodian’s accounting books both cash and securities (reconciliation of securities and corporate actions)
• Creating/changing standard settlement instructions.
• Facilitating global income, mandatory and voluntary corporate actions for proprietary holdings and  securities lending
• Managing market claims for proprietary holdings
• Taking part in various projects (implementing both banking legislation and process changes)

Your experience and background: 

• Finance related university degree or equivalent professional experience will be an asset
• Proficiency in MS Office 
• Good command of English (both spoken and written)
