Our Process Automation product group develops market leading MES system (Manufacturing Execution System), which ensures lean manufacturing processes in the production facilities of ABB and external customers.

As a member of the Operations team, you will participate in the all phases of the MES system implementation projects – analytics, architecture, requirements, development, implementation, testing and technical support. Multi-dimensional level of data analytics will challenge you to learn web technologies and integrate with Cloud-based solutions.

In this position, you will be providing high quality and innovative solutions to a wide range of challenging problems and contributing to the completion of specific design projects.

Your responsibilities

• Participation in Industry 4.0 concept implementation in manufacturing plants; implementation of digital integrations of industry machines and manufacturing equipment
• Participate in full MES software development lifecycle - design, development, implementation, testing, support
• Convert high level requirements to a detailed design considering best practices and the required functionality, performance, scalability and reliability
• Perform complex expert diagnostics on MES infrastructure, software, interface
• Analyze existing processes, identifies issues and propose solutions
• Participate in the code review process, collaborate with other team members
• Communicate with customers during implementation and support phase of the project lifecycle
• Provide working time evidence according to current administration process

Your background

• You graduated from Computer science, Engineering or related faculty
• You have at least 2 year of experience as a Software Developer
• You are proficient in C# (.NET Core), and additionally you are familiar with technologies like Blazor, WPF/XAML, WCF, JavaScript, JSON, XML, HTML5, CSS, WinForms
• You know Web Services integration (REST, WSDL/SOAP, XML, JSON), database engines (MSSQL), source control (TFS)
• You know how to create a detailed design from high-level objectives/architectures, you are also experienced in code quality assurance (unit testing, static code analysis)
• You have strong command of English and excellent communication skills
