The Process Expert acts as the First Point of Contact for Business counterparts to discuss the current roadmap, and improvements priorities. You will provide expertise in your application/process specialization to support the daily operations and effective performance of the business solutions (application/support maintenance). Strong SAP technical background /experience as an MM-PO consultant with strong customizing and system features (BAdIs) knowledge will be needed for the role.

You will act as the expert on the assigned areas, coaching and helping the process/application analysts in the configuration/customization of the associated application modules. You will be the point of contact between your specific process areas and the Power Users, keeping them up-to-date and knowledgeable of the systems and business processes/best practices. You will drive and monitor the implementation of approved projects ensuring alignment of changes to the Global Reference Model (GRM).

Analyze Demands to improve or change Business process/system

• Advise Business colleagues about possible solutions
• Prioritize the Demands
• Check the impact on GRM and application customizing
• Check conflicts between current and proposed functionality (impact analysis)
• Contribute to the enhancement of Operational procedures to ensure efficient and effective service to customers

Minor/standard enhancements/projects

• Ensure the design of the proposed solutions and potentially modify the GRM accordingly following the approval process
• Collect and provide time and cost estimates for the implementation of the solutions
• Plan and coordinate the implementation of approved projects
• Monitor the progress of implementation

Knowledge management

• Provides knowledge transfer and best practices (global processes) to power users through support/change request resolution
• Maintain the solution database by creating knowledge base articles, updating them whenever is needed
• Comply with JTI Policies & Procedure and perform J-SOX controls as specified in the J-SOX Global Reference Model

Testing Solutions and searching for SAP notes if applicable

• Provide application support for P2P area (SAP-MM/PO) for critical/complex incidents & significant change/service requests.  That includes:
• reproduce the problem in the test system
• investigate the solutions by searching in the internal solutions database, searching for SAP notes if applicable, consulting with relevant experts, testing implemented technical application notes
• test the solution

• University Degree in Computer or Technical Science (would be an asset)
• Strong SAP technical background /experience (7+ working experience)  as an MM-PO consultant with strong customizing and system features (BAdIs) knowledge
• Fluent in English (written & spoken)
• Excellent knowledge of supported business processes and applications functionality
• Knowledge of other pillars/workstream business processes and modules is a plus (FI, CO, SD)
• Project management and quality assurance methodology knowledge (detailed knowledge of application testing, test procedures, and test scenarios)
• Analytical & Detail oriented, and customer service attitude
